As she and her family have thrived on social media, many were shocked to find that Kendall Jenner had deleted her Instagram on Sunday. And now the reality star has opened up to what had led her to that decision. The 21-year-old model appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday to reveal why she quit the picture-sharing social network. She told the 58-year-old chat show host: 'I don't know. I just wanted to detox. 'I just wanted a little bit of a break. I'm always on it. I feel like I would wake up in the morning and I would look at it first thing, I would go to bed and it was the last thing I would look at. I felt a little dependent on it. It's a detox.'

And though it has only been two days since she left Instagram, Kendall is already planning a return as she said: 'I'll be back. I'll come back.''I'll be back!' As news of her leaving the social network became headline news, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star was shocked there was such an interest.

She explained: 'It's so crazy to me that it even became huge news like that. I mean I guess I didn't expect it but I also took my Twitter off my phone.

'I didn't delete my Twitter entirely but I took the app off my phone so I had no idea anyone was even talking about it and I honestly didn't think anybody would care.'

She said friends and family started contacting her about it and even sent the star links to stories about the deletion.

On Sunday, the model's page on the social media giant was no longer coming up, as users going to her page were greeted with the generic message, 'Sorry, this page isn't available.'

Kendall looked absolutely stunning for her first time on the chat programme as she sported a green silk romper and robe combination.

The sleepwear-inspired look accentuated her mile-high long legs as she teamed it with a pair of strappy brown heels.
