Meghan Markle struggles to choose between Prince Harry and Prince William in interview

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s blossoming relationship appears to be going from strength-to-strength, with some even speculating that the couple will be engaged before the year is out.

But it appears the Prince may not have always been the actress’s first choice after a video emerged showing her struggling to choose between him and his brother Prince William a when put on the spot in an interview.

Miss Markle, who was confirmed to be dating the Prince, 32, earlier this month, was taking part in a quick-fire round of questions for Hello! when she was asked to choose between the brothers.

In the footage, filmed in October last year just months before the pair met, the 35-year-old Suits actress is asked: “Prince William or Prince Harry?”

 Miss Markle, who is wearing a crisp white blouse with her hair down, can be seen laughing and shrugging her shoulders as she exclaims: “I don’t know."

 The interviewer then suggests “Harry?” “Sure,” Miss Markle replies.

In the clip the actress also admitted her number one song is Nina Simone’s I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel To Be Free, while her top beauty tip is “drink lots of water and smile”.

 She also references her two rescue dogs, saying she is not a “cat person”.

Miss Markle’s relationship with the Prince was exposed earlier this month and confirmed by the Prince in a statement issued by Kensington Palace last week.

In the strongly-worded statement, issued via his communications secretary, Jason Knauf, Prince Harry said he had been in a relationship with the divorcee for “a few months” and appealed for privacy. He described the "wave of abuse and harassment" the actress has experienced since news of their relationship broke, leaving the Prince "worried" about her safety.

Last week, the US actress, who has recently launched a clothing line, was reported to have asked for a break from shooting Suits, in which she plays a paralegal, telling producers she had “something important to do”.

She was photographed on Thursday walking towards the grounds of Kensington Palace, where Prince Harry lives, following a shopping trip to the nearby high street.

Fans of the couple were hoping they would make their first public appearance at England's clash against South Africa in the rugby on Saturday but it is widely reported the actress instead flew back to Toronto.
