J Cole has been accused of attacking his former
'hero' Kanye West in his new single, False Prophets.
Early Friday morning, Jay Z's Tidal released the
31-year-old rapper's documentary - titled Eyez - in support of his upcoming
album, 4 Your Eyez Only.
Social media immediately erupted with a mix of criticism and support as the lyrics for the contentious song were revealed in the documentary. 'Ego in charge of every move, he's a star and we can't look away due to the days that he caught our hearts. He's falling apart but we deny it,' the song initiates.
Fans assumed he was detailing the struggles of West,
39, that led to his hospitalization on November 21. 'What's more important is he's crying out for
help/ While the world's eggin' him on, I'm beggin' him to stop,' the lyricist
finishes, urging his listeners to take the problem more seriously.Social media immediately erupted with a mix of criticism and support as the lyrics for the contentious song were revealed in the documentary. Cole, full name Jermaine Lamarr Cole, kick-started
his career by emulating Kanye. His ‘any Given Sunday project’ was reminiscent of West's G.O.O.D. Fridays,
which were both weekly free music giveaways.
The rapper mentioned that since he once greatly
admired The College Dropout crooner, West's 'fall from grace' hit him that much
harder.
Cole is not the sole rapper to voice his opinion on
Kanye recently.
The night before West's hospitalization in November,
Snoop Dogg, 45, took to Instagram to criticize the Heartless singer for his
on-stage rant in Sacramento.
Snoop Said ,'That n****r crazy. I can't believe he's still talking. He picked
the wrong night to vent like that, them Sacramento n****rs ain't feeling that
s**t,' he said. 'He was talking that weird a*s s**t. That's just my thoughts,'
he added. 'I smoke weed. Weed don't make you do that. What the f**k is he on?'.
The rapper and father-of-two was admitted to Resnick
Neuropsychiatric ward at UCLA a few days before Thanksgiving. Just over one week after his hospitalization,
the rapper checked out of the hospital and is now back at home with his family.
TMZ reported that on Wednesday, Kanye left UCLA
Medical Center in the company of his wife Kim Kardashian and his personal
physician, Dr. Michael Farzam.
According to a source, the rapper is 'not out of the
woods yet.' J. Cole's album, which is
rumored to also contain shots aimed at Drake, Big Sean, Kid Cudi, Wale, and
more, is set for release December 9th.
