'Good wife, good mother,' said Okeechobee County Undersheriff, and Sheriff-elect, Noel Stephen.'Everything going their way, until they crossed paths with this sad individual,' said Undersheriff Stephen.Shows met Suarez while dating her cousin and had been to her home before which is why, police say, her large guard dog didn't bark at his presence.
Suarez's missing cell phone was recovered by detectives several days later covered in blood by the side of a nearby road.
On the phone, a photo of Shows sleeping on the sofa, placed him at the crime scene, and proved to be the big break in the case, said Stephen.
'In his confession it was just he wanted to know what murder was about. Unfortunately, it was no rhyme no reason. He just wanted to know what murder felt like,' added the Undersheriff.
Shows is now facing charges of first-degree premeditated murder, armed burglary of an occupied residence with a battery, desecration of a body, attempted sexual battery, grand theft from a residence, and tampering with evidence.
