TAYLOR SWIFT, DRAKE: Spark Dating Rumours Send, Twitter into MELTDOWN

DRAKE broke up with superstar Rihanna just a few weeks ago, but today, rumours began to fly that the rapper was already in a new relationship with none other than pop princess, Taylor Swift.

With Drake and Taylor Swift soon beginning to trend on Twitter, it wasn’t long until fans became desperate to know what was going on between the pair.

And now TMZ has confirmed the artists are nothing more than close friends. Despite Drake reportedly introducing the Bad Blood singer to his mum at his birthday bash, it appears that the move was nothing more than a gesture between pals.

In fact, it is thought the duo have known each other for years, even hanging out together at the 2013 VMAs. And due to the blonde not being a regular at Drizzy’s parties, he had merely wanted to make sure that she met his inner circle while given the chance.Speculation began that Taylor and Drake were dating after they were allegedly spotted flirting at the celebrations last weekend. A source told Page Six that after a sit down dinner, the rapper joined the popstar in her booth and spent most of the evening by her side. And once the news broke, it wasn’t long before fans of both the musicians got excited – with most of them taking to social media to vent their disbelief. "So apparently Drake and Taylor Swift are dating. That's another 6 albums each when they split up,” joked one Twitter user. Another added: "If Drake and Taylor Swift are dating, I think I'm going to forget the whole of 2016.

“This cannot be true!?? Someone? ANYONE??” said a third. While a fourth commented: “I cant believe there are people thinking that Drake and Taylor Swift are dating THIS IS SO FUNNY.”

Taylor has been single since she broke up with actor Tom Hiddleston in September. 

Meanwhile Drake ended his relationship with Rihanna at the start of October, just months after the Hotline Bling singer had publicly declared his love for the songstress.A source apparently told E! Online: “Rihanna and Drake are seeing other people at the moment. They are not exclusive anymore. They still love each other, but their schedules have gotten in the way.
