Tennis fan Romeo Beckham, 13, shares a laugh with
dad David as they watch Jamie Murray's doubles match in London. His dad is one
of the world's most famous footballer players. But Romeo Beckham is following
his own path and has already gained attention as a promising tennis player at
the age of 13.
Doting dad David treated his tennis-mad son to an
evening at the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals on Thursday where they watched
Great Britain's Jamie Murray and Bruno Soares' doubles match against Ivan Dodig
and Marcelo Melo Action. Romeo looked in great spirits as he cheered along with
his equally sports-mad dad who sported one of his favourite flat caps and a
casual grey shirt. David and wife
Victoria have been encouraging Romeo's tennis ambitions, with the teen spotted having
a lesson from Olympic champion Andy Murray in London in June. Joined by his
father the 13-year-old budding sport star showed off his impressive skills
prior to a practice session at the Aegon Championships at Queens Club.
Romeo's tennis skills come as no surprise, as mum
Victoria recently took to Instagram to praise the teenager for his sporting
talents. Sharing a sweet snap of him serving up a ball on the court, she wrote:
'Romeo is a true sportsman X Game set and match! X vb.'
Last year, tennis coach John Johnson claimed Romeo
would be one to watch in the tennis world, as he revealed he had been chatting
with the star's famous family about his potential. He told the Daily Star: 'He
has a lot of talent and very good hand-eye coordination. I'm going to have a
meeting with his mother about it to reinforce that because I'm not sure his
parents realise how good he is.
'Romeo really loves tennis. He is really into it and
very talented. Romeo has a natural swing and is very enthusiastic, he just
loves it. 'He kept telling me and I could see how focused he was.He is very
energetic, very quick and strong.'
