Marseille are ready to make John Obi Mikel their highest-paid player, in a bid to land the player from Chelsea next year.Super Eagles Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr, has already revealed that his captain is in advanced negotiations with the Ligue 1 outfit .

Marseille has been bought over by former Los Angeles Dodgers owner, Frank McCourt and he has promised to invest heavily in the squad when the January transfer window opens.
