Sure, people go on and on about the fact that there
are some healthy benefits to regular sex but does regular masturbation bring
about the same benefits? There are actually a few reasons why touching yourself
is not the best thing for your health.
1. It can affect your body chemistry
Masturbating
too often can cause changes in your body chemistry. This immoderate amount of
stimulation can result in an over-production of sex hormones and can have such
side effects as fatigue, memory loss, blurred vision and pain in the testicles.

People prefer to masturbate
because they believe it does not have as many risks as the STDs you can get
through sex. While this might be true, self-pleasure also poses some risks.

can cause some liver distress and affect nervous system function. It can also
lead to sexual exhaustion, causing you to have less energy during sex. For some
men, this might lead your partner to think you are impotent or suffering from

Extreme masturbation can cause a
condition where you emit sperm from your penis without an erection. This is a
sign that the nerve keeping the ejaculation valve shut is weakening because of
excessive use and over-stimulation.

You can become so
addicted to masturbation that being with an actual partner does not interest
you anymore. If you are married or in a relationship, this can cause your
partner to feel neglected which can lead to irreparable damage to your
